Join our Team
We're looking for people who believe what we believe: that children are capable, curious, and deserving of the very best.
Teaching at Glenwood Children’s Center is a commitment to showing up fully for the children and families in our community, to following curiosity wherever it leads, and to building something beautiful together every day. If that resonates with you, we'd love to meet you.
Open Positions
Lead Teacher
We're looking for an experienced, grounded educator to take a leadership role in our classroom. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of child development, a natural ability to mentor and collaborate with fellow teachers, and a genuine belief in the Reggio Emilia approach as a living, breathing practice — not just a philosophy on paper.
Responsibilities include:
Leading the classroom environment and daily program
Observing and documenting children's learning with intention
Mentoring assistant and preschool teachers
Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families
Collaborating with the director to shape and evolve the program
We're looking for:
Significant experience in early childhood education
ECE degree or equivalent preferred
Reggio Emilia background or strong familiarity with the approach
Leadership experience and a collaborative spirit
Preschool Teacher
We're looking for a warm, observant, and genuinely curious educator to join our classroom team. The ideal candidate brings experience with young children, a deep respect for child-led learning, and a belief that the environment matters as much as the curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitating open-ended play and process-based art experiences
Observing and documenting children's learning
Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families
Collaborating with the teaching team to shape the program
We're looking for:
Experience in early childhood education (Reggio Emilia background a plus)
ECE units or degree preferred
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love of children
Substitute Teacher
We're looking for reliable, warm substitutes who can step into our classroom and hold the environment with care. You don't need to know everything about Reggio Emilia on day one — but you do need to genuinely love children and understand that a good day is an unhurried one.
We're looking for:
Some experience with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
Flexibility and a calm, adaptable presence
ECE units a plus but not required
Availability on short notice
